It seems like my training has been going well and the last couple weeks have been no different. I ended this last week with 84.5 miles and 12,460' of vertical gain. I have to admit that I'm pretty happy with how things are progressing. I even added in the very first bit of speed work to my training with a 3 mile tempo run averaging about 6:30 pace. It's not real fast & it was more difficult than expected, but you gotta start somewhere. Another nice long run ended my week: 25 mile run w/ 4.75 mile power hike (4,285' of vert).
